Wabi-Sabi Kiln Brick (crevice)

Just a brick— but what a brick! This fragment from a ruined factory in the Pacific Northwest is redolent of industrial history. The great kilns of which it was once a part burned marble to make lime, for concrete and cement. Made from a high-temperature clay, speckled with refractory mineral grains. Some of the edges are coated with dark (non-staining) rust. Weighty and solid, these bricks are excellent book-ends or door-stops, or simply stand-alone sculptural forms. Available in quantity, each different. Please inquire.
