A sweet, speckled bottle, fired using a reduction technique to draw out the iron pigments in the claybody.. From the time (in the 60s and 70s) when people were trying to replace disposable household products with more durable ceramic ones. (Some people still try to do this, thank goodness, despite our global addiction to single use packaging.) With a nice cork or spout, this would happily hold olive oil in your kitchen, or perhaps some homemade bitters in your bar! Also makes an excellent bud vase. Remember the immortal words of Tom Waits: “I’d rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy!”
