This earthy stoneware casserole with its Dijon-mustard glaze has seen its share of potlucks. Remember, you don’t have to bake in a casserole— it can just be a covered serving dish, always helpful for keeping things warm on the table.
Possibly the work of Herbert Charles Schumacher, ceramics instructor at the University of Northern Colorado in the 1960s-70s. Schumacher was also the founder the high-elevation Chalk Creek Pottery, near the ghost town of Saint Elmo, Colorado.
