Autumn Madness

Earl Seubert was a photographer for the Minneapolis Star Tribune for forty years, during which he covered everything from presidential visits to the homeless. He was named National Press Photographer of the Year three times over his long career. This photo (with Seubert’s stamp on the reverse) would be a cookie-cutter fall foliage chestnut EXCEPT for the young girl on the right. There is a hint of feral intensity about her that recalls the work of Diane Arbus. Nice shot, Earl!
